Answer:My sun conure who I've had for 15 years has tried every kind of perch material available. I love the Rope perches. They're flexible and soft on the birds feet. Conyers chew. That's what they do. They will chew on anything. Because they chew on the Rope, I watch to see that it doesn't get too frayed. If it starts to look like a bush it's time to toss it. 3.Question:Is this rope perch thick enough for a medium size cockatoo like a "Major Mitchell"?
Answer:Yes I would say so. Ours is a Moluccan and it's a little small for him. It's really a nice one though. Very strong wire in it to shape and hold a med size bird. Our boy is just big for it, so it's a 'chew' toy for him
